Into a Genius Mind: Dalí Cybernetics

Are you ready to see Salvador Dalí’s world from a different perspective? With works that challenged the boundaries of reality, unconventional ideas and an extraordinary imagination, Dalí left an indelible mark on the history of art. Dalí Cybernetics brings his dreamlike universe together with science and technology, inviting visitors into an experience where the boundaries between reality and imagination begin to blur.

Having welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors across 14 cities, from Barcelona and London to Berlin and Copenhagen, the exhibition was developed with the support of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. Inspired by Dalí’s fascination with scientific discoveries, the fourth dimension, optical illusions and the technologies of the future, Dalí Cybernetics reinterprets the ideas behind his work through the possibilities of digital art.

Through immersive projections, archival footage, interactive installations, augmented reality and collective virtual reality experiences, Dalí’s world extends far beyond a conventional exhibition. Visitors can travel through the artist’s surreal universe in Dalivers, bring their own drawings to life in Surrealist Boulevard, and explore the intersection of science and imagination in the Dalí and DNA experience.

One of the exhibition’s special sections offers the opportunity to discover Salvador Dalí through the lens of Ara Güler, one of Türkiye’s internationally renowned photographers.

The selection brings together photographs taken during Ara Güler’s meetings with Dalí in 1971, drawn from the collection preserved at the Ara Güler Archives and Research Center. Curated by the Ara Güler Museum, the selection captures moments in which Ara Güler witnessed Dalí’s life, working environment and creative world. Going beyond Dalí’s artworks, the photographs reveal different aspects of the artist’s personality and world.
